Peekamoose Blue Hole Clean-Up

Come help us leave no trace at Peekamoose Blue Hole!

Join the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor EthicsNew York State Department of Environmental ConservationAdirondack Mountain Club, and Catskill Conservation Corps volunteers as we remove trash and restore the beauty of Peekamoose Blue Hole.

Catskill Park’s Peekamoose Blue Hole was designated as a 2017 Leave No Trace Hot Spot. Hot Spots are all public lands — city parks, forests, open space land, national parks — across the country that have sustained damage from overuse. The Hot Spot program provides week-long, onsite education and events, engaging locals communities in training, service and outreach.

The scenic and popular Peekamoose Blue Hole has experienced an increase in trash, damage to vegetation and trees, and trail erosion over recent years.
