Pine Hill West Branch| Trail Crew Trip| 11/25|9:30-4:00

Pine Hill West Branch 7-8-17

Join The Catskill Conservation Corps, Trail Crew on November 25th as we perform seasonal maintenance on a section of the Pine Hill West Branch Trail. We will meet at the Biscuit Brook parking area at 9:30.

We ask that all volunteers dress appropriately for work on the trail. Sturdy footwear (hiking boots) are strongly recommended. Gloves and safety glasses are required. The crew will have some protective equipment available. However,  to ensure the best fit and performance it is suggested that you bring your own gloves, and glasses. Seasonal trail maintenance requires the use of hand saws, by-pass loppers, and other hand tools. You are welcome to bring your tools if you have some that you are comfortable using, or the Trail Crew will train you on the use of the tools we have.

Intro to Trail Maintenance Workshop|10/21|9:30-5:00

The Catskill Conservation Corps is leading an Intro to Trail Maintenance Workshop on the Phoenicia East Branch Trail. We will meet at Woodland Valley Campground in Phoenicia  at 09:30 on October 21st. The Workshop will review maintenance standards, and procedures for volunteer Trail Maintainers. The workshop is great for new volunteers, or for those who are looking to brush up on their skills, & knowledge of the process.

Tools and protective equipment will be available. However to ensure the best fit, and performance it is recommended that you bring your own safety glasses, and gloves. All volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather, and sturdy footwear should be worn. Be sure to pack lunch, snacks, and enough water for the day.

Join The Catskill Conservation Corps, Trail Crew on October 8th, as we perform seasonal maintenance on the Touch-Me-Not Trail. We will make arrangements to stage vehicles Alder Lake , prior to 9:30 when we will meet at the trail head on Beech Hill Rd.

The crew will have some protective equipment available. However,  to ensure the best fit and performance it is suggested that you bring your own gloves, and glasses. Join The Catskill Conservation Corps, Trail Crew on October 10th as we perform seasonal maintenance on the trail around Mud Pond. We will meet at Russell Brook parking area off of Morton Hill Rd at 9:30.

Join The Catskill Conservation Corps, Trail Crew on September 30th & October 1st, as we perform seasonal maintenance on the Escarpment Trail. We will make arrangements to stage vehicles at Peck Rd, prior to 9:30 when we will meet at the Schutt Rd parking area outside of North South Lake Campground.

We ask that all volunteers dress appropriately for work on the trail. Sturdy footwear (hiking boots) are strongly recommended. Gloves and safety glasses are required. The crew will have some protective equipment available. However,  to ensure the best fit and performance it is suggested that you bring your own gloves, and glasses. Seasonal trail maintenance requires the use of hand saws, by-pass loppers, and other hand tools. You are welcome to bring your tools if you have some that you are comfortable using, or the Trail Crew will train you on the use of the tools we have.

The trip is held over the course of 2 days. There is an option to camp with the crew, or join for just one of the days. We ask that you state clearly in the registration form, if you plan on attending the outing for one or both days. Join The Catskill Conservation Corps, Trail Crew on September 2nd & 3rd as we perform seasonal maintenance on a section of the Long Path over Cross Mt & Mt Pleasant. We will make arrangements to stage vehicles at the Lane St trail head, before meeting at the Woodland Valley Campground at 9:30
